Regular dental cleanings play a key role in preventing serious dental issues and maintaining overall health.
Laser Dental Therapy
Laser dentistry is a comfortable, minimally invasive procedure used alongside deep cleanings to support healthier gums.

What Kind of Training Does a Registered Dental Hygienist Have?
Becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist requires specialized education, clinical training, and state licensure. The journey typically begins by completing an accredited dental hygiene program, most commonly an associate degree, though bachelor's degree programs are also available. Students study subjects such as anatomy, physiology, oral health sciences, radiography, periodontology, and preventive dental care while developing hands-on clinical skills.
After graduating, aspiring dental hygienists must pass the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination (NBDHE) and complete a state or regional clinical licensing examination, along with meeting any additional state-specific requirements. Once licensed, Registered Dental Hygienists are qualified to provide preventive dental services, educate patients on oral health, perform dental cleanings, take diagnostic images, and work closely with dentists to help patients maintain healthy smiles. Many RDHs also pursue continuing education throughout their careers to stay current with evolving techniques, technologies, and licensing requirements.
